Full Highlight Film – Winter in New York City & Canada

Canada will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Getting engaged at Lake Louise was obviously a highlight, but we find ourselves wishing we lived there every day.

Two of the main reasons? The friendly people and incredible landscapes.

We arrived in Banff during a cold snap, which topped -29 degrees. We layered on the thermals and took off snowboarding.

After the powdery slopes had tuckered us out, we jumped in a hire car and started road tripping along the icy roads through the Rockies.

These mountains were like nothing we had ever seen before, especially along Route 99!

The best view was from a hike overlooking Peyto Lake, which we discovered is shaped like a wolf head (which was exciting for us as we own two huskies).

It was also exciting to find the “Secret Cave” in Johnston Canyon, it definitely wasn’t easy in the snow!

Watching the sun set on Bow Lake was a magical experience, there is definitely something intimidating about standing on tonnes of frozen water.

Canada, we are already planning to be back for a spring adventure, jam packed full of your amazing outdoors!

We managed to capture our adventure (and our proposal), so check it out on the link above!

Love, Caitlin & Brayden
