When Anneliese & Jesse showed us their inspiration board for their engagement shoot – we were beyond excited! We had been eagerly waiting to capture the urban side of Newcastle, and showcase it’s very New York City & Paris-esque vibes.
Anneliese & Jesse gave us complete creative control, and were up for any adventure. We warned them it was a 2.8km walk through the CBD, but they were extra keen! They were such naturals in front of the lens – completely absorbed in their natural love cycles.
We started on Darby Street and had an iced coffee at Coco Monde – much needed on this 35 degree afternoon. Surprisingly enough, we actually had Newcastle pretty much to ourselves! We definitely weren’t complaining.
After checking out the City Hall and wandering the back streets of King & Hunter, we ended up at the old Station. The anglo-dutch facade of the Longworth House was definitely a crowd pleaser – and we were feeling super thankful for Newcastle’s beautiful 200 year old buildings.
Of course we had to sneak in some mist & palm trees at the end – we had to stay true to Newcastle’s coastal form!
Thank you to Anneliese & Jesse for trusting us with your vision, we cannot wait for your Hunter Valley wedding in January!
Love, Brayden & Caitlin
